Child Rescue Kenya

Empowering youth and strengthening families for a brighter tomorrow.

Rescuing Children, Restoring Hope

Child Rescue Kenya (CRK) is a registered non‑profit organization in Kitale, Trans‑Nzoia County. Since 1988, we have transformed the lives of vulnerable children and youth through rescue, rehabilitation, family reintegration, and empowerment programs. Our work goes beyond charity—we build dignity, resilience, and opportunity by equipping young people with skills, supporting families with sustainable livelihoods, and advocating for children’s rights. Over 30 years later, CRK continues to stand as a pathway of hope, positively impacting more than 50,000 lives across Kenya.

Who we are

A community-based organisation standing with vulnerable children and youth.

Since 1992, Child Rescue Kenya has walked alongside children and young people facing life on the streets, abuse, or extreme poverty. We restore safety, reconnect children with their families where possible, and build long-term pathways to independence.

Every child deserves a safe home, access to education, and the chance to reach their full potential. Our teams combine social work, counselling, education support, and vocational training to create lasting change.

The change journey

Beyond rescue: a pathway from crisis to confidence.

Step 1

Outreach & trust-building

We meet children and youth where they are, listen first, and respond with dignity and care.

Step 2

Protection & healing

Children in crisis receive immediate safety, counseling, and practical support.

Step 3

Family reintegration

Where safe and possible, we work with caregivers to reunite children with family.

Step 4

Education & livelihoods

We support schooling and skills pathways so young people can build independent futures.
