Child Rescue Kenya (CRK) is the accumulated experience of 20 years working with vulnerable children and youth. By combining 'best practise', networking with other organisations and acquired knowledge, CRK has developed strategies that protect children and help keep families together.
The family is the key element in protecting children and in enabling them to mature with their culture and integrity intact. Strategies are developed focusing on maintaining and developing this structure.
CRK is very aware that not all children have this support network and need longer term intervention. Every case has its own merits and challenges. Staff have to be resourceful and imaginative in designing interventions to suit each case.
"Holistic, non-judgemental and secular". We mean it!
In this website we attempt to introduce you to our work, share some experiences and invite you to become involved. We also hope to encourage positive change within the charity world to move away from 'institutional' care.
The links at the top and on the left may help you navigate this site which we have tried to layer and separate into some basic subheadings and structures. Many of these naturally overlap and interlink as they do in reality on the ground
